The Edible Lace is made in a hand-made mold using Danish laces or doilies, inherited from her grandmother, to resemble a fabric texture and creating the pattern. 

Ingredients like beetroot, porridge, flour and sugar are mixed into a paste and baked in the oven, transforming it into a new edible material - 'The Edible Lace’.

'The Edible Lace' is then served on a piece of Danish rye bread as an extravagant and humorous take on the decorative and classic Danish Open Sandwich – ‘Smørrebrød’.
